Heading off to Uni can be incredibly exciting, but leaving behind the safe and familiar to embark on a new challenge — often in a new city, filled with new faces and experiences — can also be quite daunting. We've got a fix for that. We call it Residential Life.
Residents get far more than a room at UniLodge. They get each other.
Residential Life is UniLodge's structured program of engagement and support, which provides a broad range of opportunities to help residents grow and succeed during their time at University. You'll learn new skills, improve your wellbeing and make lifelong friendships. You'll be there for others, and your fellow residents and staff will be there for you.
The program aims to foster inclusive communities through a diverse range of events and initiatives to support residents to achieve academic success.
Every property's calendar is built around these five areas.
Designed to support university experience and academic and personal success — study skills, resume tips, networking and life-skills workshops.
To provide friendships and community belonging — welcome parties, movie nights, BBQs and game nights.
Promoting community connection and socially responsible practices like volunteering and gardening.
Developing cultural competency and encouraging residents to share holidays from home communities.
Supporting mental and physical health through sporting games, stress management, yoga, boxing, and education on diet and wellness.
UniLodge partners with Red Frogs to provide training and education to our residents, as well as support at our events.
In Australia, PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) refers to purpose-designed housing for students, often featuring a range of shared facilities, security, and other student-friendly amenities.
Many of UniLodge’s properties are accredited under the NPAS, meaning they meet the stringent requirements set out by the accreditation scheme.
